In Carson, California, a married couple had two significant goals on their minds. First, they wanted to provide affordable housing for their uncle, who was searching for a place to call home in the city. Second, they aimed to create additional sources of passive income to supplement their monthly earnings.

After careful consideration, they realized that converting their garage into an Accessory Dwelling Unit ADU was the perfect solution to address both of these objectives. From the moment we first connected with this couple, it was clear that their mission was twofold meet their uncle's housing needs while maximizing the ADU potential for ROI and future rental income.

 

Through a series of productive meetings and with our expert guidance, the couple made a strategic decision not only to convert their garage but also to expand its square footage. This expansion would provide their uncle with ample space for his belongings and enable them to charge a higher rent for the unit in the future.
